We keep what we need to run your account and take payment, nothing more. We do not sell your data, and we do not run ads.
What we collect
Your account details (your email and the name you sign in with). What you do here: who you follow or subscribe to, what you unlock, your likes, comments, messages and requests. Payment records (what you paid, when and for what). We do not receive your card number. Basic technical data your browser sends, such as your IP address, for security and to keep the site working.
Why we use it
To run your account, deliver what you paid for, reply to your messages and requests, take payments, stop fraud and abuse, and meet our legal duties, including age and safety checks. Our legal basis is that we need it to provide the service to you, that we have a legitimate interest in running a safe site, and that the law requires some of it.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of companies to run the site. They only get what they need. They are our sign-in provider (Clerk), our payment provider (Stripe at present), our database host (Neon) and our web host (Vercel). If we add an age-verification provider, we will name it here. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Some of these companies are outside the UK. Where they are, they are covered by approved safeguards for international transfers.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work: one that remembers you confirmed you are 18 or over, and the sign-in cookies that keep you logged in. At launch we do not run advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will ask first.
How long we keep it
Your account data stays while your account is open. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is usually six years. Messages and requests are kept while your account is open, then deleted within 90 days of closure unless we need them for a dispute or the law requires otherwise.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or take a copy of it. Email us and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Privacy and what you buy
What you view and buy here is private. Nothing on your account is shown to other fans, other than a comment you choose to post under your display name. Payment records are kept separately from anything you view.
